Aave v1

Aave v1 launched in January 2020 as the first version of the Aave lending protocol. Users deposited ETH and received aETH interest-bearing tokens that automatically accrued yield. The protocol migrated to v2 in December 2020 and v3 in March 2022, but the original UI dropped v1 support. aETH token holders can still redeem for ETH by calling redeem() on the aETH contract.
